Office Hours:
The office is open Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Closed over lunch. Office is closed at other periods of time for meetings, helping public works, helping daycare, banking, etc.

The office will be closed on June 24-July 1. Just a reminder if there is an emergency call our emergency phone line at 306-217-TOWN.

Spray Park:
The spray park is open for the season as well as the public washrooms. Please ensure that your children do not pour sand onto the spray park pad, that sand will end up in the sewer line causing it to not drain. Also, children under 10 should always have adult supervision at the park and public spaces.

Utility & Taxes:
Utility bills for 3rd quarter will be mailed out the week of July 1, 2025, and must be paid before July 31 to avoid interest. If you have arrears your water will be disconnected.

Everyone should have their tax notice now, if you did not receive one, please contact the town office. To get maximum discount pay taxes on or before July 31, 2025. All taxes must be paid by December 31, 2025.

Walking Trail:
The walking trail is open, it starts on 5th Street near Cano’s Automotive. There are doggy bags at the beginning of the trail, take one along on your walk. The trail is about 3 km if you do the whole loop. There are a few sitting areas along the way as well as a garbage can. No quads or bikes on the walking trail.

Building Permits:
Just a reminder if you are building a deck, fence, a shed, a shop, a gazebo, etc. that is over 100 square feet you need to get a building permit. This includes sea cans, prefabbed buildings and even car ports. The forms can be picked up at the town office or found on our website at www.townofbedenbury.ca.

Bredenbury Community Daycare:
Thank you to the Lion's Club for their generous donation! We appreciate their support very much.

A huge thank you to all the daycare families that signed up to help with the golf tournament.

With the nicer weather, we are starting to head out for walks, be sure to give us a wave if you see us out and about!

Golf Cart Bylaw:
Golf Carts are allowed to be driven around the municipality but there are rules please read the bylaw below to ensure that you are following the SGI regulations regarding golf cart use within municipalities.

TOWN OF BREDENBURY BYLAW NO. 403

A BYLAW TO PERMIT OPERATING UNREGISTERED GOLF CARTS ON HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF BREDENBURY 

Subject to and in accordance with, s. 113.1 of The Traffic Safety Act and The Registration Exemption and Reciprocity Regulations (2014)  

THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TOWN OF BREDENBURY, IN THE PROVINCE OF SASKATCHEWAN, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

A Golf Cart is a vehicle as defined in The Registration Exemption and Reciprocity Regulations. 

“golf cart” means a self-propelled vehicle that:

(i) is designed to transport passengers and their equipment in an area designated as a golf course;

(ii) has three or more wheels;

(iii) cannot be operated at a speed of more than 24 km/h on level ground; and

(iv) has an unladen weight of less than 590 kilograms;

but does not include:

(v)  an all-terrain vehicle as defined in The All Terrain Vehicles Act; or

(vi)  a low-speed vehicle as defined in the Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations, C.R.C., c. 1038.  

No person shall operate a Golf Cart on a Provincial Highway within the limits of the Town of Bredenbury, except to directly cross.

Golf carts can only be operated between the hours of one half hour before sunrise and one half

hour after sunrise.

The Golf Cart shall display a slow-moving warning device as defined in section 2(1)(kk) of The Vehicle Equipment Regulations (1987) and be displayed in accordance with section 10 of the regulations, with one side parallel to and not less than 900 millimetres nor more than 1500 millimetres from the ground. 

 The owner of the Golf Cart must insure themselves and every other person who, with the owner’s consent, operates that golf cart, against liability imposed by law arising out the ownership, use or operation of that golf cart and provides proof of insurance at the request of a peace officer. The minimum liability requirement is $200,000.

Golf Carts cannot be operated on any roadway with a posted speed over 40km/h.

Golf Carts must be operated in accordance with the rules of the road in The Traffic Safety Act and any other Municipal Bylaw related to traffic.

The Town of Bredenbury must monitor and inform Saskatchewan Government Insurance of collision information, including injuries and/or fatalities that involve a Golf Cart.

This Bylaw shall come into force and take effect upon approval thereof by Saskatchewan Government Insurance.
