Lions:

The Lions are now collecting warm clothing for the Warm Fuzzy Program. Please drop off your unwanted warm clothing at the town office or Roundup Butcher shop in one of the boxes. All of these clothes go to families in need of warm clothing.

The Lions will be putting up a donation sheet at the town office and Roundup Butcher shop asking for donations to help cover the costs of distributing candy bags to Saltcoats School during the Christmas Concert.

Compost Area:

The compost area has been closed. There has been way to much unallowable materials left there, including pallets. No lumber is allowed at compost area. Please see image. This is not allowable.

Rose Bowl & Golf Course Ice:

A few children recently were stopped from playing on the ice at the Rose Bowl by town employees. At this time we do not know how thick the ice is, or if it is safe. Please do not go on the ice in these areas, the water underneath the ice is very, very deep.

Thank You’s:

The Town of Bredenbury would like to thank Patty Taylor again this year for all her hard work volunteering in the community. Patty is always busy cutting grass, picking up leaves, picking up garbage and branches and shovelling snow at the Lions park and memorial. Thank you Patty.

The Bredenbury Arena would like to thank Ann Purvis for her hard work in sorting cans and bottles at the old fire hall for the Rink Board. Ann is there every day organizing the bottles. This year so far the recycle program for the rink raised approximately $1800 and there is still more to take in.

Thank you to Anne Byczynski and Sheila Laycock for decorating the community hall again this year.

Thank you again to all volunteers in our community no matter what you volunteer for! Last year we had a supper for volunteers; this year with the Grand Re-opening of rink - we are using this as a time to get together and say thank you.
