Office Hours:

Regular hours are Mondays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Closed over the lunch hour.

 

The office will be closed on November 10 and November 11, 2014.

 

Craft Show:

Bredenbury will be hosting their annual craft show on November 29, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Bredenbury Hall. Lunch will be available. For more information call Louise at 306-898-2034 or Margaret at 306-898-2122.

 

Remembrance Day Service:

The Lions will be hosting a Remembrance Day Service at the Bredenbury Hall on Tuesday, November 11 at 10:45 a.m. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Everyone welcome.

 

Bredenbury Golf Club:

Thank you to Chris Thorvaldson for giving the golf club free porta potties for the 2014 season. It was greatly appreciated.

 

Church Luncheon:

The United Church will be holding a Roast Beef Luncheon on Wednesday, November 19 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Church basement. $10. Everyone welcome.

 

 

Rink Grand Re-Opening:

The Town of Bredenbury will be hosting a Grand Re-Opening of the Arena on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

 

There will be free hamburgers, hotdogs, coffee, hot chocolate and dessert.

 

There also will be a special announcement and free entertainment that will consist of a magician for the children on the ice surface so dress warm; after the show there will be free glow in the dark skating so dress in white!

 

Be there at 2:00 p.m. sharp. We want everyone to attend this event, including residents of Bredenbury and surrounding rural municipalities.

 

Bredenbury Arena Clock:

The Town of Bredenbury ordered a new clock for the Bredenbury Arena. The Bredenbury Arena will pay the municipality back for the purchase through donations, advertising and fundraising.

 

The approximate cost of the clock is $8,500. So far approximately $2,000 has been donated. If you would like to make a donation, make cheques payable to Town of Bredenbury – clock and a tax deductible receipt will be issued.

 

Bredenbury Arena Public Skating:

Public Skating Times will be:

Monday – Friday 3:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday – 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

 

The first day of Public Skating will be November 9, 2014. There will be no public skating on Holidays. Changes to Public Skating schedule will be posted at rink and in post office.

There are no skating fees this year and no charges for public skating, so everyone please take this opportunity to enjoy the arena. The Rink Board will be compensated for any loss of income by the Town of Bredenbury through a monthly grant.

 

Public Skating may have to be cancelled occasionally if a tournament gets scheduled on the weekend or due to weather constraints.

 

The Town of Bredenbury employees will be caretaking the lobby and dressing rooms of the arena and supervising public skating. We highly recommend that parents accompany their children to the arena when possible, especially young ones.

 

Eric Walker has been contracted out by the Bredenbury Arena to be the ice surface caretaker.

 

Cougar Games:

The Cougar Home Games for November will be Saturday, November 8, Monday, November 10 and Saturday November 22, 2014. All games at 8:00 a.m. Come out and support our home team.

 

Council:

The Town of Bredenbury would like to welcome newly acclaimed councillors Edward Patzwald and Eric Walker to the council. We look forward to working with them.

 

Christmas Garbage Pickup:

Garbage carts will be picked up on December 29, 2014.
