Regular hours are Mondays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Closed over the lunch hour.
The office will be closed on Wednesday, October 8, October 13, and October 28, 2014.
Bredenbury will be hosting their annual craft show on November 29, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Bredenbury Hall. Lunch will be available. To book a table call Louise at 306-898-2034 or Margaret at 306-898-2122.
The Bredenbury Rink will be hosting an Octoberfest on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Bredenbury Arena from 7:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.
Music provided by DJ MIA. Minors are welcome as long as accompanied by an adult. Midnight lunch will be served.
The water meters were tested on September 12, 2014. We believe that some of these meters were possibly damaged with the flood. Damaged water meters will be replaced through PDAP, you will be contacted if your meter needs inspected.
The water meters will be read on October 1, 2014 again.
Churchbridge Landfill costs are $10 per ticket and are available at Bredenbury Town Office, Churchbridge Town Office, and Churchbridge Co-op. The landfill is open: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Bredenbury Golf Club:
The Bredenbury golf club hosted their member’s tournament in September; approximately 35 golfers attended the event. The golf club would like to thank Bredenbury Hotel for allowing the golf club to utilize their facility to host the event.
Ottenbreit Calendar Recycling:
Attached is the 2014 Ottenbreit garbage and recycling calendar. The small recycle carts will start pickup on October 1, 2014 and the large business recycle carts will start pickup on October 8, 2014.
Pickup for both small recycle carts and large recycle carts will be every two weeks. You may throw in all recyclables straight into the cart, no separating is required.
Rink Grand Re-Opening:
The Town of Bredenbury will be hosting a Grand Re-Opening of the Arena on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. There will be free hamburgers, hotdogs, coffee, hot chocolate and dessert.
There also will be a special announcement and free entertainment that will consist of a magician for the children; after the show there will be free glow in the dark skating. Watch posters and newsletters for more updates.
We want everyone to attend this event, including residents of Bredenbury and surrounding rural municipalities.
The Bredenbury Arena will start putting in the ice end of October, 2014. If you are interested in volunteering with this project or several other projects at the arena, please call Terry Hall at 306-898-2123.
The Council of Town of Bredenbury would like everyone to be able to enjoy the rink this year; therefore there will be no skating fees or public skating costs for anyone living within the Town of Bredenbury or within the RM of Saltcoats.
Acknowledging the rink needs money to operate; the Town of Bredenbury will be compensating the rink board for loss of revenue with regards to skating fees and public skating fees as applicable.
The Town of Bredenbury will also have town employees perform the caretaking duties inside the lobby and dressing rooms this year for most days. Therefore the rink board is only looking for an ice caretaker, please see the tender below.
The Bredenbury Arena is now accepting tenders for the position of ice surface caretaker. Duties include: maintenance of ice surface, general cleaning of outer area and maintenance, opening and closing of rink for evening and weekend games. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. The rink Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders. Tenders can be sent to Box 166, Bredenbury, Sask. S0A 0H0. Deadline for tenders I October 17th. Position start date is November 1, 2014.
