This is a reminder that utility bills are due the month they are mailed out; January 31, April 30, July 31, October 31. If they are not paid on time the computer automatically generates interest charges of 3% per month.
It’s a new year why not set up your utility account to come out of your bank automatically monthly to save on interest charges. Come by the office to set it up only $67 a month. There are options to do this with taxes as well.
Public Skating is every Sunday 1-3 p.m. Shinny is every Sunday 3-5 p.m. Public Skating is also on Wednesday’s from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
The ice rentals will continue to be $120 per hour. Our day tournament rate is $500. We still will offer birthday/staff parties at a discounted rate of $100 for up to 3 hours.

The rink will remain open this year until May 31, 2019. We were asked to do so by many teams and a skating club to do so because other rinks that normally stay open are not staying open because of repairs to ice plant. The spring ice rate will be $160 per hour. The spring rate for a tournament will be $750 for the day. This is new territory for the rink, we hope it works out.

The Town of Bredenbury will play a movie at the Bredenbury Hall during the Mid Winter Break. We will play the movie on Tuesday, February 19 at 1:30 p.m. There will be no charge for the movie. We did not select a movie yet but it will be one for all ages. Watch for future posters. Bring your own comfy chairs if you want. There will be popcorn and drinks available to purchase.
It is that time of year to register your pets for 2019. The cost for a cat is $5 and a dog is $10. You receive a tag that you can put on the collar which will help your pet find his or her way home.
The Town of Bredenbury would like to create one large Recreation/Group Board. This group will meet a few times a year to help initiate events in the community. Things like but not limited to: Ball days, curling, centennials, parades, picnics, glow skates, golf events, hall events, Octoberfest, races, fall suppers, luncheons, etc.
This main group will then subcommittee out certain events depending on interest to others in the community. The new board will also determine how the revenue form events shall be divided amongst the community groups.
Community groups can include everyone who just wants to participate we always add more groups as the community grows: Fire Department, Hall, Rink, Golf Club, Cemetery Funds, Spray Park, School Yard, Playground, Gazebo Park, Gym, Lions, Busy Bees, Church, etc.
Everything will be ran through the Town of Bredenbury so no executives will be required and the Town of Bredenbury will chair the meetings. The first meeting will be on Wednesday, February 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bredenbury Hall. You do not need to be a resident to attend; we love our rural resident volunteers to. Watch for future posters.
Family Gym Membership:
You asked for it, so now the Town of Bredenbury will offer a Family Gym membership of $50 a month. Individual gym memberships still available for $30 a month or $275 for the year.
Busy Bees Valentines Day Lunch:
Busy Bees will having a Valentines Day Lunch on February 14 from 11:30-1:00 p.m. Chili, bun, dessert and beverages $10. Everyone welcome. Take out available, call Donna at 898-2289.
Busy Bees Health Clinic:
Busy Bees will be hosting monthly Heath Clinic on Wednesday, February 5 from 1-3. Everyone Welcome.
