It sounds like we will have a busy season again this year. We continue to have our staple renters: Yorkton Minor Hockey, Blackouts, Wildcats, Bredenbury Tundra and Bredenbury Cougars. We would like to take the time to thank them for using our facility and wish them the best of luck in the upcoming season.

To book ice time call the office at 306-898-2055 or book at www.schedulicity.com. Use your full name as the First Name and use your Team Name as the Last name so we can invoice teams accordingly. If you want to book a family gathering or a tournament call the office for available times and dates.

The ice rentals will continue to be $120 per hour. Our day tournament rate is $500. We still will offer birthday/staff parties at a discounted rate of $100 for up to 3 hours; this is only allowed during non-peak times at the rink, cancellation can occur up to 7 days in advance.

This year we have added a 5% interest charge on unpaid ice rental accounts after 30 days. Invoices will continue to be emailed monthly through quick books. Ice rentals can be paid by etransfer to Bredenbury@sasktel.net, cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard.

The kitchen will again have a manager this year. The manager will purchase supplies, help volunteers, cook, clean kitchen, etc.

The Cougars and the Tundra will be providing two kitchen volunteers per game in lieu of no ice rental for games. The generic volunteer call out list has been provided to these teams. The kitchen manager will call volunteers as well if there are special events, tournaments or out of town teams coming to play. Thank you for you continued support and volunteerism for the rink. Volunteers are necessary to keep the rink sustainable.

If you are interested in volunteering at the rink and are not on the current list then please call the office at 306-898-2055 and we will be sure that your name and number is given to the different teams.

Are you a student looking to earn a little extra income? Each game the rink will be hiring one student to assist. The times will vary. The kitchen manager will contact you. Call the office at 306-898-2055 to sign up or to learn more.

A meeting was held with regards to decorating more for the Holiday season around the community. Thank you all who attended.

The committee is asking if anyone has gently used Christmas Lights, Christmas Displays, Timers, Extension Cords, Plywood, lumber please drop it off at the back of the rink near the large brown door. We will utilize what we can to keep costs low; donations we don’t use will be disposed of.

The goal is to decorate only a few areas; mainly to brighten up Main Street. The next meeting will be held on October 2, 2018 at 6:30 pm. at the rink. The meeting is at the rink so we can look over donated items.
