School Yard Recreation:

The ball diamond is complete. The horseshoe pit has been installed. Revamped basketball hoops have been installed. Small soccer nets have been installed; larger ones will come in near future. The Frisbee Golf is also installed.

In July the pavers will be in town and we will be redoing the pavement in the tennis court so that we can get that up and running again as well.

If you would like to borrow a set of Frisbees, the horseshoes, a soccer ball, baseball bat, soft ball, basketball, etc. you can come to the Town office. In the very near future we will be putting these items in a locked shed. There will be key holders around town that will volunteer to hand out the key to residents through a sign out sheet in the near future. If you would be a key holder please call the town office.

On a negative note, there are people still breaking into the school and more windows have been smashed. The school is on surveillance and the police will be contacted in regards to the continued vandalism.

Spray Park:

With the very nice weather we are having this year; we can say that the spray park is a huge hit; it is busy every day.

Just a reminder to parents to talk to their children about not pushing the spray park water button, unless they are using it; occasionally it has been noticed them pushing the button when they got off the bus and had no intention of using it.

Sand toys were left at the spray park and put in a basket, unfortunately however someone decided to smash the basket and throw the toys around the street and memorial so we have removed it from the park. Everyone should know that that area is under camera surveillance; so if any vandalism occurs in the future the police will be called.

Also there has been inquiries about hosting birthday parties at the spray park, feel free to do so.  There is a garbage can in the vicinity so make sure you clean up area after.

There has been a donation box set up at the spray park; any and all donations would be greatly appreciated. If anyone wants to give a larger donation, they can do so at the town office and a taxable receipt will be issued. This is suggested if you host a party there. Thank you!
